ROBERT C. UNDERWOOD SCHOLARSHIP

The Robert C. Underwood Scholarship was established in 1998 in recognition of Mr. Underwood’s outstanding achievements and service to Michigan State University. Mr. Underwood served as assistant vice president for the Division of Housing and Food Services from July AAL1982 to July 1997. This $2,000 scholarship is sponsored and funded through the generosity of Mr. Richard Colton, president of Automatic Apartment Laundries, Inc., founded in 1946, providing self-operated laundry services for many years to the students residing in University Housing.

Scholarship Criteria
Applicant must be an MSU student employee within Residential and Hospitality Services for a minimum of two consecutive semesters, maintaining a minimum 3.2 GPA at MSU and returning as an MSU student employee within Residential and Hospitality Services for fall semester 2009.

Fill out an application starting Monday, Jan. 26, 2009 at 8 a.m.
The deadline for submission is 5 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 27, 2009.

Applicants are required to attach a one-page summary of their educational and career goals to their application, along with a letter of recommendation from their immediate supervisor.
